Access to the Botanical Garden is allowed without reservation
We inform you that the botanical garden is closed Saturdays and Sundays. The garden is closed on public holidays that occur during the week.
The garden is closed to the epiphany (06/01/2023)

For the safety of visitors and staff, in case of rain and wind the garden can close without notice, on days of weather alert it remains closed to the public

Outline of the history
The Botanical Garden of Naples was founded at the beginning of the 19th century at a time when this city was dominated by the French. They carried out a plan which had been originally conceived by Ferdinand IV of Borbone and was prevented from being accomplished by a revolution in 1799. read more
